Day 14 - Make popcorn and watch a Christmas special
Last night we popped yummy, buttery popcorn and watched "The Santa Clause."
Day 15 - Go out for a special treat
Tonight we decided that ice cream sounded really good, however, the only place close to our home that serves ice cream is Wendy's. Wendy's didn't sound like a special treat to us, so we decided to drive 15 minutes to a Dairy Queen where we would have more variety. We plugged "Dairy Queen" into our GPS system and headed off with dreams of banana splits and peanut buster parfaits in our heads. Fifteen minutes later, our GPS system announced that we had arrived at our final destination. Sadly, the Dairy Queen was no longer there. Where it went, we do not know. So, we turned around, drove 15 more minutes, and had ice cream at our local Wendy's. Oh well. Not all was lost. We had a great 30 minute drive that included singing Christmas carols at the top of our lungs. It turned out to be a lot of fun, and Wendy's ice cream wasn't too bad either.

Bummer about the Dairy Queen! We've done that a couple of times with places around here, and it is so disappointing to find that they are gone

That's a cool story. Anytime a 30 minute car ride is that fun, it's been a successful evening!
Too bad you weren't able to go to Dairy Queen. Maybe next time. At least you spent quality time with one another.
