Taylor and Spencer have never been very fond of Santa. They love getting presents from Santa, but seeing him and talking to him is a whole different story. At our ward Christmas party tonight, Spencer and Taylor anxiously awaited Santa's arrival. When Santa finally arrived, Spencer ran to be the first child in line. However, when he was called to sit on Santa's lap, he wouldn't go. I had to drag him to Santa. Santa was very sweet, and patiently talked to Spencer. Spencer told Santa what he wanted for Christmas and then Santa took Spencer's hand. He held it the entire time, which was pretty impressive, because I could feel Spencer pulling away with all of his strength. It was kind of funny. Taylor was near the front of the line as well, but she wouldn't go to Santa. She kept saying, "I'll go last." I think she was just putting off the inevitable. She eventually went. We thought Grandma was going to have to go with her, but when Taylor stepped up to Santa, Grandma slipped to the side, and Taylor didn't seem to mind. She told Santa what she wanted, answered his questions and then quickly slipped off the stage. Her first words to me were, "I wanted to pull on his beard. If it had come off, I would have known he wasn't the real Santa." You can almost see her thinking about pulling of his beard in her first picture. She is getting too smart. I think this may be the last year of "you know what" for her.

What cute pictures! I hope you are having fun with your mom.
Those are sweet pictures. My kids aren't a big fan of sitting with Santa either. It's so funny. They're getting better though. We're going to see him on Tuesday, we'll see how that goes. :)
Our Santa at the mall looks so cooler. :P
The pictures turned out great...you need Taylor's thought as a caption in your scrapbook. Good job being so brave to go talk to him Spencer and Taylor. Facin' your fears of the jolly man! Good job
Ha ha - you can totally tell that Taylor is skeptical of Santa in that first picture! Cute pictures!
That's funny, you can totally see it in Taylor's face! She's growing up fast.
