Snow

Over Friday and Saturday, we got 10 to 12 inches of snow. 10 to 12 inches in Virginia closes down everything, including our ward Christmas party on Saturday and church this morning. We've taken total advantage of being stuck at home these past two days and have enjoyed a lot of family time. Inside we've been watching Christmas movies under blankets and drinking hot cocoa. Outside we've been throwing snowballs, making snow angels, building snowmen and sledding down the small hill in our front yard. It has all been so much fun. Luckily, this week will be very cold and we will get to enjoy the snow a little longer. We may even have a white Christmas, which is very exciting. We are definitely enjoying every possible minute of this snow.

I love it when something unusual happens, and it creates a time where you just simply enjoy each other. I loved snow days as a kid because I just read or caught up on my journal - things I wanted to do, but just didn't. Sounds like you've had such wonderful family time. :) Plus a winter your kids will never forget!
