Spring Break in South Carolina

It is Saturday morning. We, the kids and I, just returned from South Carolina yesterday, where we spent just short of a week with my sister and her family for Spring Break. I already want to go back. We had a great time! We did so many fun things, but really it's the company that makes me want to go back. I am so, so grateful to have my sister living so close. (Five hours is close considering she used to live in Utah!) Here's what we did!

Day 1 - We left early Monday morning and arrived not too late that afternoon. We spent our first day together simply catching up and having dinner out at a yummy soup and sandwhich shop. And, of course, we got in some cuddles with the always cute Piper.
Day 2 - On Tuesday, we spent the morning at the local zoo, always a fun time. We then spent the afternoon relaxing, while Danna took her girls to an appointment. Later that evening, I made dinner for everyone.
We always manage to get one or two creepy pictures of Spencer.
There's number two!
Day 3 - We spent Wednesday in Charleston. We ate packed lunches near the ocean, shopped the city market, ate Charleston's world-famous pralines, stopped for a few quick pictures on Rainbow Row and had dinner at a yummy bbq joint. Charleston was a lot of fun and so beautiful! I look forward to taking Mark there one day.
Day 4 - On Thursday, Danna and I ditched the kids and went shopping! (Taylor and Spencer were nicely rewarded for babysitting during their Spring Break.) We also had lunch out together. The time alone was so nice! Again, I am grateful to have my sister close! That evening, Josh made us pizza. It was yummy!

Day 5 - We sadly said our goodbyes and headed home to dad, whom we happily said hello to! Overall, it was a great vacation and I am grateful to Danna and Josh (and Josh's parents) for all they did for us. Can't wait to do it again!
