We thought, since Taylor is turning 8 years old this year, she needed a big-girl bedroom, and so, we recently began work on her room. We still have a lot to do, but I thought I would post a few pictures of our progress so far. We think it is looking really cute and are very happy with it. A while back, Taylor picked out the Hawaiin bedding and coordinating blue paint for the walls. We then bought her a new dresser and a desk. We put the furniture together last weekend, painted the walls this Saturday, and painted the trim and moved in her new furniture today. We still need to paint the doors and replace the brass hardware with brushed nickel. Once we get these few details out of the way, we get to decorate! We have purchased a few small items, and have a few fun projects planned. Oh, of course, she still needs a desk chair. We are looking for a bright pink one. Oh, and also curtains. So much to do, but oh so much fun.

It's totally cute! I love it! I love the blue walls, and I can just imagine how cute the desk will be with a bright pink chair. Good job you guys. Can't wait to see it all decorated.
Very cute -- is that a grass skirt around the bottom of the bed? I love it!!

I LOVE IT! So funny we are in the process of transitioning Haylees room too! Hers is also bright colors we need to paint all of her furniture and her walls so we are no where NEAR ready to post pics but we did get her comforter and have our idea going...stripes and polka dots. I LOVE THE BRIGHT BLUE! Haylee's blue in her comforter is a little darker and I just love it! :)
