Another Truck, Our Super-cute Gymnast, My Furniture Story and Two Wheels

I don't know where time has been disappearing to lately. I have been jotting down notes of things I want to blog about, and the list keeps growing and growing, yet I haven't had time to blog. Now, I must play catch-up, so here's what we have been up to lately . . .

Another truck, finally
When we sold our truck, before moving east, we never thought it would take so long to buy a replacement. We finally did a few weeks ago. We are really happy to have a 2nd vehicle again. It makes life much easier, and having a truck is always handy.

Our super-cute gymnast
Taylor finished her third session of gymnastics last Thursday. She is doing really well and loves going each week. She especially loves getting a ribbon at the end of each session. Here she is with her three ribbons earned so far, and she is signed up and all ready for the next session.

My furniture story
I have been wanting to replace our couches for quite a while now. They are almost 8 years old and have really seen better days. They are green and red plaid, and I have enjoyed them, but I have sworn I will never buy plaid couches again. I have felt so strapped to the colors in them. So, I have looked and looked and looked, and guess what? I found, and bought, cute, plaid couches! They arrived on Saturday, and okay, they are not quite plaid. They are red and cream checked, with floral and plaid pillows, but, the over-sized chair and ottoman I ordered, (they haven't arrived yet,) are plaid. You know what though? I love them. I tried to find a neutral couch that I could love, but I couldn't. I kept finding the cutest plaid couches though. I have just decided I am a country-kind-of-girl when it comes to furniture. I haven't yet decided if I am keeping the floral pillows. I like the punch of yellow they provide, but I am not fond of the print. I guess I am keeping them for now. So, we now have paint on the living room walls and 1/2 of our new furniture. We still have so far to go in pulling the room together. It is taking us a while, but we want to get it perfect, so we are taking our time. Here is the super-cute and very comfy loveseat.

Two wheels
On Saturday, Mark took off Taylor's training wheels and she learned to ride on two wheels. She and Mark worked at it all day, and by the end of the day she was doing really well. I think she was definitely ready.

Ahh, so much fun stuff. I'm glad you guys finally got another car. That will be nice. And I love your couch. I kinda like the floral pillows, it mixes it up a little, but isn't too much floral. That's cool that Taylor is loving gymnastics. I need to sign Sarah up for another one. Our couches need a break :) Way to go graduating to a two wheeler Taylor!

Fun update! And I LOVE your new couch. I really think the flower pillows look cute with the plaid too. How fun! We've never purchased our own couches and I'm looking forward to the day that we do. It will be a little while still, but I'm still excited! I'm so impressed Taylor is riding on two wheels! We've been trying to warm Kaleb up to the idea. Hopefully it will happen this summer. He wants to go fast and those training wheels hold him back.

That was a fun video, and I got to watch it with In the Mood playing in the background. It was almost like your very own old fashioned movie :)

Taylor I am so proud of you, you really are a big girl now.
Jamie I love the couch, it reminds me of you. so is the big chair the same as the pillows? I love it.

Fun blog. Lots of new things in your home and a cool ride for Mark (I'm guessing).

Wow. You have been busy since I last visited your blog. The couch is really cute. Taylor's room is cute as well. I am glad you caught the bike riding on tape. I wish this is something I had of the boys. Oh well, maybe with Whitney. :)
