Sewing Lessons

Taylor and I began working on her second sewing project this morning - a very cute, pink skirt. This morning she sewed the front and back pieces together and hemmed the two ruffles that will go on the bottom of the skirt. I am amazed out how easily she is picking everything up. She is doing so well. With just a little bit of direction from me, she does it all. She does all of the pinning and all of the sewing. She is really impressing me. I think she's a natural. This morning, we also went over winding the bobbin and threading the machine, but I think that is going to take a little more practice. Isn't she a cutie though?!

That is so awesome. Kaiya really wants too, but it kind of freaks me out. Maybe when she's a little older like Taylor. I would love for her to love it. Taylor will be so proud every time she wears it. You're such a great mom.

I need to learn how to sew. I just don't have a sewing machine but I have all of these projects I'd like to do. I just need to be home to do them but I'm stuck here at work. Some day.

Tell Taylor that I loved sewing as a kid, Mom gave me some basic lessons and I sewed all my own boxers.
