Yesterday

Yesterday was wonderful. Last year at this same time, we were making such big plans for our ten year anniversary, but as usual, life has different ideas for us. Instead of a big anniversary, we bought a house. So, though our plans were a bit smaller, it was still a wonderful day. Mark took the day off of work and surprised me with flowers. He also arranged a baby-sitter so we could go out. We had four wonderful hours of "just us" time. We tried to go see a movie, but for some reason the "movie gods" have cursed us. The movie we wanted to see was having "technical difficulties" and was not being shown. (A few months ago we arranged a baby-sitter so we could go see a movie. When we got to the movie theater, we found out that the theater had closed down.) Instead of a movie yesterday, we had a yummy, casual dinner and then browsed through some fun stores. I should mention that we also bought Spencer a suit for Danna's upcoming wedding. It never fails that we do something non-date-like on our dates. Oh well. It really is wonderful to just be together. I love you Mark. Thank you for a wonderful day and I happily look forward to all there is in store for us.
