We are happily enjoying Spring Break, despite our itchy, puffy eyes, sneezing, runny noses and hoarse, scratchy throats. Virginia is beautiful, but its beauty comes at a price. The price? Horrible, awful, terrible ALLERGIES! So, we are happily enjoying Spring Break inside our house. We have gotten out of our house a little though. Yesterday, the kids and I went to the park for a picnic and to play, I painted the front porch, Mark and I planted flowers and spruced up our front porch and as a family we hung a new bird feeder. Here's a few snapshots from our day yesterday...

It seems that everyone in Virginia has an azalea bush in their yard. I was beginning to feel a little left out, but not anymore! I now have my own azalea bush!

Taylor has always loved birds, but her interest has peaked lately, so we bought a new bird feeder for our backyard. We see amazing birds on a daily basis here. We are hoping to attract a few more.

(So, week #2 is complete! As well as painting our front porch, I also got the kids' rooms 'spring clean.' They look fantastic. For week #3, I plan to 'spring clean' our storage room and get a few items ready for a future yard sale. It should be a good week.)

THe house looks awesome! That would be so fun to attract some cool birds. Make sure you have your camera ready so you can share all of the birds you see :)
I love the photos of your home. So beautiful.
Fun pictures - the porch looks great! What a fun place to go sit and enjoy the outdoors.
Your house is so cute, the kids are looking so grown up. I love the bird feeder.
Cute Grandkids I have! Don't forget to freeze the bird seed before setting out so that they won't sprout weeds beneath the feeder when the birds get them all over the ground!
Your home is beautiful. I love your bird feeder. What fun for the kids to watch the birds come and go.
