House Updates

July has been a busy month. We have had so much going on . . . the library's summer reading program, t-ball, gymnastics, play groups, free movies, swimming, family visits and on and on. On top of all that, we have been diving head-first into many different house projects. It has been a lot of work, but also a lot of fun, and we are happy with the results.

Over the weekend of the 4th, we tackled Spencer's bedroom. I still need to finish painting all of the white trim and hang a few things on his walls, but so far, I am loving his room. It is an all-american boy's room. Spencer loves it too!

While my mom was visiting from Washington, more on that below, Mark installed a new kitchen sink faucet. The old faucet worked perfectly fine, but was super-duper ugly. I love my new one!

Out with the old . . .
In with the new . . .

This past Friday, Mark took the day off from work, and we painted our formal dining room. Well, it is supposed to be a formal dining room, but we are not formal people, so it is our computer/piano room. It is right off of our living room, so we painted it the same color, and the two now flow together nicely. I still, of course, because it is my lot in life to be continutally painting white trim, have all of the trim-work to do, and of course, more pictures to hang, but one day it will all be done!

Love it all. You guys are doing a great job. It's so much fun to make it your own.

The piano is so much more important than eating, so I wouldn't worry about it, Jamie. :P

Looks great! I had to chuckle that is Corbin's bedspread as well- maybe we figured this one out before I can't remember. I HATE painting trim!!!! We, I mean I, just got done doing that and we redid our carpet in the house. It is nice to finally be done- for now- with projects. Ryan keeps telling me NO MORE PROJECTS!! Isn't that part of being a home owner though?

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I might have to steal some ideas from Spencer's bedroom since we're going to start on Adam's soon.

I love all the remodeling. You inspire me. I've wanted to remodel and paint a few room. I think maybe I'll do it when the kids are in school. You're such a good mommy what lucky kids.
