Raising a Gentleman

We were shopping at Costco earlier tonight when Spencer ran ahead of us and began helping a woman pick up the contents of her purse she had just accidentally spilled on the ground. To be honest, it took me a moment to figure out what he was doing, because I hadn't seen the accident, but Spencer had and he had quickly jumped in to help. My heart swelled watching him in action. I was so proud of him. I was proud of Mark as well, because it is Mark who is teaching him to do things like this. Lately he's been teaching the kids, "See a need, fill a need." I am grateful to have him by my side raising these two amazing kids of ours who, one day, will be amazing adults, just like their dad.
