Camping Trip

We had a really fun camping trip this year over Labor Day weekend. The kids brought their bikes and rode all around our campsite. They played endless games of catch. When the bats came out at night, they ran all around trying to catch them. As a family, we roasted marshmallows and ate yummy s'mores. We gazed at the stars and read our scriptures around the campfire. We played a few mean games of Uno and Yatzee. (We had some awesome team names going.) We used our dutch ovens and made some tasty food. We hiked, where the kids found walking sticks. (Mark later helped the kids to 'fancy up' their walking sticks.) Spencer bought a 'coon hat, that he thinks is absolutely awesome. (He's watched my old family videos, and has seen his Uncle John sporting the same hat, so he knows it's awesome.) And, we swam.

I love some of those videos of John and the pictures of him wearing that hat. What a fun trip! What a really cool camp site to have a water park close by.

I didn't think about it, but there must be so many beautiful places to go camping around there. I love the walking sticks!
