So, you may not get excited over 5 jars of apple pie filling, but I sure do. Why? MY FIRST TIME CANNING!!! And it was so much fun! Locally grown apples were on sale for only $1 for 3 pounds. It was such a good deal, so my friend Kristi came over by yesterday and we got canning. I learned so much from her. It was great! We canned a total of 12 jars of apple pie filling. So much fun, but it gets even more exciting. Now I get to attempt my first pie from scratch!

They look great, I'm glad you had fun, can you believe that pie crust is the one thing I can make perfectly. It was my job growing up to make the pie crust every Sunday because my mom didn't like that job.

Yah, great idea to do pie filling! I always think applesauce and it just doesn't turn out as I would like it. YUMO!
